Season three is off to a sex, holy water and rock-n-roll start, with a season premiere that doesn’t let up from the opening frame to the closing credits. Thanks to an iTunes preview of the season opener, we know what’s ahead for the season, and it’s looking good!
NBC called this series much-anticipated, and it’s not completely untrue. Genre fans did give this show some buzz, and so we tuned in, of course. What we found was a mixed bag of interesting and silly.
The collective shouts of outrage seem to have settled to collective purrs– or at least hums of intrigue– since the long-awaited clarifications of the roles the two new female Supernatural characters.
Will the actors be able to pull it off?
For the little show that could, Supernatural is making a mighty rumble amongst fans with its latest casting rumor.
Slight drop-off while we wait for Eureka and Doctor Who to return, but still some good stuff.

Diana is back, though only until she finds April, and she and Tom are faced with a rash of people becoming consumed by phobias. Meanwhile, Kyle’s new friend Cassie (who helped him figure out how to wake Shawn from his coma) leads him to a book that contains a prophecy about Jordan. And Shawn’s little brother, Danny, in a fit of sibling jealousy threatens to go out and get some promicin so that he can be special too.
10:01 PM ET - The Dead Zone - Heritage (6×02)
Johnny meets the new sheriff (while the fans still mourn the brutal passing of Walt) and gets a vision of her shooting a female psychiatrist. Sheriff Turner, however, wants nothing to do with Johnny and his psychic nonsense.

9:00 PM ET - Supernatural - Crossroad Blues (2×08)

One of the scariest episodes of Supernatural, the story tonight is about a crossroads demon based on the story of Robert Johnson who allegedly sold his soul to the devil to get his gifts. Sam and Dean try to save people who have made just that sort of bargain and in the process learn what has happened to their father.
